Manufacturer promises fuel savings
EvenCure Systems has developed a new heat exchanger that saves farmers 20 to 40 percent of fuel costs when compared to many of the exchanger types used today, according to a press release issued by the company.
Company officials at EvenCure say the units save enough fuel over 10 years to pay for the unit’s cost. “We have spent three years testing these heat exchangers, and our prototype curing barns have been used in Canada for four years with our original heat exchanger,” says EvenCure President Tommy Dew. “However, we have continued to improve the [units] and finally we have the best heat exchanger for the grower.”
Only 25 to 50 heat exchanger units will be produced this year, says Dew. “We stand behind our product with a seven-year warranty. This heat exchanger has been designed for long-term durability.”
